On choosing Scranton: “The University of Scranton not only appealed to me through their impressive field hockey program but also their incredible academic profile. I wanted to attend a college that would make me feel at home for the next 4 years but also help me to excel for the years to follow. After visiting the campus, meeting the team, and lots of research, I found that the University of Scranton would be the best place for me to succeed.”

Best field hockey moment: “My favorite Field hockey moment is whenever we come home from a winning away game. Ever since my freshman year, every bus ride home from that game consisted of a unique victory song/chant. Together, as a team, we screamed our lungs out to celebrate how all our hard work paid off. It was such a feeling of accomplishment and unity knowing our hard work had paid off. It is truly a feeling I will never forget.”

Field hockey goals: “My goals include strength and speed. I want to become a stronger player both mentally and physically to reach my full potential. I also want to increase my speed to improve my game.”

Nord’s shout-out: “I would first like to thank my coaches Alex McMahon and Christina Elisio who have helped me improve as a player tremendously over the most recent years. They have always pushed and believed in me to be the best player and person possible. I would also like to thank all of my field hockey coaches starting back in 5th grade who have taught me how to value and love the sport. Lastly and most importantly, I want to thank my parents who have spent countless hours making sure I am doing what I love and have always been my number one fans.”
